Our old one did, but I'm not sure if our new one does! If not, maybe we'll throw one for the neighborhood next year...
Does your neighborhood throw block parties?

our new neighbors were talking about throwing a block party in the fall after we move into our house! excited!

We have 3 each year, it kind of feels like a lot but it does make for a tighter knit community. There's no way I would know so many of our neighbors by now if we didn't have them.

A street that intersects with ours does but only people who live on that street are invited.

Nope, we live in the burbs and our subdivision doesn't do one but I just talked to one of our neighbors a couple of weekends ago about organizing one. We'd really like to get to know our neighborhood better. It's a very quiet place...which is great! We just don't know many people well.

We do. Actually the city has city wide block parties once a year where anyone who wants can throw a block party for their street. Usually we go to three or four that night. It's tons of fun.

This is the first block I've lived on that doesn't throw block parties. Feels so weird.

Never. Maybe we should throw one. It would be easier if we lived in the cul de sac.

There is one held a few blocks over every year. A bunch of the families on our street (us included) wanted to organize one for the end of June, but we are all feeling like life is a little out of control at the moment, so we are hoping to put it off to give it our all next year!
