It's very similar! So much so that we're moving soon and her rug now will be moving to a different room, and a shelf unit we have elsewhere will go into her room after the move

Yes - both nurseries are very traditional, as is the rest of our house. The nurseries are full of Peter Rabbit, woodland creatures, family sterling silver baby "stuff" from, like, great-grandparents... we're pretty old-school

Our home is that new term Transitional- contemporary meets traditional. We are also a bit of minimalist when it comes to accessories and accents.

The nursery will likely skew more contemporary and way more colorful than the rest of the house.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: We have the same design aesthetic. We don't like things that are super modern or super traditional or country, so we're directly in Transitional territory. And DS' room matches the same feel as the rest of the house. Not that it was intentional, but that's what our tastes gravitate to.

Yeah, a little. I like things pretty minimalistic overall (although also a little rustic) but LO's room is even more minimalistic, especially since it's Montessori inspired.

We're still renting and don't plan to be here long-term so I've used that as an excuse for my lackluster interior aesthetic. I would describe our design style as "transient cozy": a comfortable couch and not much else. I was insistent that we decorate the nursery though, so DS has the nicest room in the house!

Yup--colors are different but style is similar--spare, not too girly even though LO is a girl.
