When DH and I first started ttc we were trying to plan a baby around which zodiac signs we liked the most. BAHAHA! As if we could ever control that. Now I'll take whatever I can get.

When we first started TTC we wanted a spring baby. One CP and six months into trying, Im just happy we have a due date and hoping to take home a healthy baby.

In the beginning it was a huge deal to me. I'm at the point that I don't care. If I get pregnant in the next few months I will be due at a really difficult time of year for my job, but a baby is a definite priority.

I *tried* to plan ours to be born during the summer (7/4 baby!), because my old job was so dead during the summer months. I ended up changing jobs at 34 weeks, to a job that is SUPER busy during summer! Oops!

I have a December birthday and never liked it, so we will always skip TTC in March and April. I'd love to have another summer baby.

I didn't even think about it when we started trying for #1...LO was born 11/11/11 and I love it! It's right before things get all hectic with the holidays.
Now that we are trying for #2 I don't want a summer baby bc I don't want to be recovering during the summer....I want to be out and about with my LO...but it's not stopping us from trying...I'm really hoping for a September baby.

@wonderstruck: I had a September baby (2012) and I don't want another so we are hoping to ttc in March/April/May! It also happens to work out better for some things we have coming up but when we originally talked about it we just didn't want September again. It's a good month, but we wanted lo to be older for the holidays..that whole busy season kind of sucked with a fussy newborn! A little trivial, but we are young and thankfully have time...

I would prefer to not have a summer baby, because my husband travels extensively for work from May-August and time off from work is extremely hard to come by. Ideally, all our children will be born September-March.

I did not want a July-September baby. Both of my babies are/will be December, which is fine with me.

If you asked me when we started TTC, I would've had "ideal" and "less than ideal" months for due dates. Now, a year later, I don't care - I will take ANY due date at this point! I didn't/don't really want to be pregnant in the peak of summer but I'm approaching what would be an August due date so if that's the case, then so be it!

I have a crazy important work thing in February of 2015 which means I have to "plan" around that. But, babies be babies. They have their own mysterious timeline! It wasn't the easiest getting pregnant with E, so I feel like if I do, it will be the same little miracle, timing or no.

For #1 we just waited until we were ready.
With #2, we have to be more calculated - I was on bedrest with #1, and it's likely for #2 AND we currenlty living cross-country from our family and are moving in August.....so I really can't be in my third trimester until we move home. Soooo not TTC until February or so.

We definitely had an ideal due date. I work PT as a nanny so I did NOT want to be heavily pregnant in the summer. I also work PT as a children's librarian, so having a summer baby wouldn't be ideal since that is our busiest time. Luckily, we got pregnant quickly so I have an early spring due date, which was my ideal date.
We did talk about what would happen if it had taken us more than 4 cycles since that would have put me with a July due date...DH didn't wanted to take a break. I don't think we would have taken a break just to avoid a July due date.
I think I will feel less pressure with due dates with our second. We are looking for a 3.5-4.5 year age gap, so we won't be in a huge hurry.

When i first started out, i really wanted to give birth june-sept for some reason. now, i really don't care. It would be lovely to be pregnant before march/april for maternity leave benefits reasons at work but honestly, i'll just take a sticky baby at any time at this point.
