DH says he needs to lose weight and exercise more but that is about it. He isn't concerned about aging or anything like that.

Only about weight/muscles. He's recently lost 30 pounds though, so at least he's doing something about it and just whining to me!
He doesn't like when his hair gets too long, but that's the only appearance related issue he has. Otherwise he thinks he's smokin' hot, haha.
Oh to have the confidence that most men do...

DH every so often complains that he needs to lose weight but then he does nothing about it lol. I think he looks good now.
Other than that he never says anything about his appearance.

Omg my husband is obsessed with his calves. He thinks they are too skinny and is really self conscious about it. If we are out and about he always points out calves. I don't get it. His calves look like normal man calves to me, no fatter or skinnier than the ones he points out
We all have our hangups, I guess.

Never. I wish he cared a little more, honestly. Not a lot. Just a little to motivate him to go to the gym once in a while
The only appearance thing he has ever mentioned is his receding hairline. Other than that, he thinks he's A-Okay!

It depends on where he is on his weight spectrum...he's kind of naturally skinny and loses weight just thinking about losing weight basically.
So if he's gained 5 or 10 pounds he'll briefly complain about it for the 3 days it takes him to lose it. And then he'll attempt to "gain muscle" by making foul protein shakes and putting his weight set in a prominent place in the living room and threatening to bust out the P90x tapes. =)

He'll complain that he wishes he had hair, LOL. He started losing his hair pretty fast when he was only about 20 or 21. I totally don't mind his hairline though.
Other than that he has been complaining recently that he lost too much muscle tone. He still looks pretty muscular to me, but hasn't had the time to work out hardcore in the past year while in school.
I think those are the only two appearance-related things I've ever heard him complain about.

Yup. Complains about being over weight and out of shape all the time. Then he has the super go-go-go attitude about how he's going to work out and eat healthy blah blah blah, but never executes. Sigh. Rinse and repeat.

Nope, if hes not happy about his weight or appearance, he'll just do something about it.

Nope, my DH is very happy with his present day stats. This is the best he's ever looked in my opinion. LOL He use to be super, super skinny and looked much older than his age. But he's always been happy and comfortable in his own skin. He started gaining after we got married (healthy weight).

My husband is like a teenage girl, always calling himself fat and a million other things. It drives me crazy because he is so handsome and he is so manly in other areas but not where vanity is concerned.

Nope! He watches what he eats and runs a lot. So I think he is happy. If not he doesn't complain to me!

My H did recently so I showed him My Fitness Pal. He started using it and dropped the extra ten pounds basically instantly. So annoying. Men don't know how lucky they are, haha.

No. He is in good shape, for one, but also, the is too much of a "guy's guy" to mention it. It wouldn't be attractive to me of he did complain about it. He will say the occasional, "man, this was a lot easier in my 20s" or something.

Yep. He talks about his big belly and is very self conscious about his body.

He's pretty happy with himself...when he has time & actually goes the gym/works out, he will come in, take of his shirt & ask "am I buff?" & then he wants me to describe how buff he is/compare him to celebrities lol part of it is joking but he really can be fairly full of himself....such a dork

He thinks he is too thick in the middle. He works out a ton and is in good shape. I tell him that often so he doesn't get too down on himself.
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
Not really. I think he knows that if he complained to me excessively, I would tell him to shit or get off the pot, lol!

@blackbird: my husband screams that expression at people that take too long at stop signs lol
pineapple / 12802 posts
He does, occasionally. He is incredibly fit but has fitness goals that he likes to meet, and sometimes work or life gets in the way of him meeting those goals (ie: lowest percent body fat.) He is kind of extreme...
persimmon / 1198 posts
His weight. He lost a lot of weight before meeting me and has gained a lot back, especially during my pregnancy and now the newborn days.
coconut / 8483 posts
Nope... He works out a lot and he thinks he looks great! lol. He does. He's more confident than I will ever be. Hope our kids get that from him!

@Mrs. Sunshine: Ha, mine does this too. I think its mostly joking, but there's a tiny bit that's basically asking for an ego-stroking.
