Olive has been saying this a lot in the past few weeks... then we sing her Happy Birthday, and she is so happy! I guess she doesn't really get how birthdays work just yet.
Does your toddler like to declare, "It's my birthday!"?

YES! out of no where. I wonder if there's singing at school when it's someones birthday?
The last two weeks or so, she's been waking up and saying, "HAPPY DAY! BIRTHY DAY! TO ME!!" and sings it randomly throughout the day.

YES! My 3 yr old loves it when we sing Happy Birthday to her! Everyday she says "Its my birthday - I want birthday cake!"

My almost 4 year old is not obsessed with her birthday but is with "baby Jesus' birthday"

She did for awhile because she wanted to blow out candles.

Yes! And then we have to break the imaginary piñata.

Yes! He makes us wear party hats and line up his buddies on chairs. Then he sits in the birthday chair, and we sing happy birthday to him. He also has an imaginary cake and blows out his candles.

Her birthday was last week, and she's been singing the happy birthday song everyday. (But she gets shy if you sing it to her).

DS talks about it being other people's birthdays for long stretches of time and to him it's not just a birthday it's a "happy birthday".
