We haven't really said much about god to Lala, but clearly there are representations of him/her/it in some of the books we read, so she has some minimal exposure.
Tonight she said that god is like one of her soft animals that she sleeps with in bed, all warm and safe and cozy... and that god eats "god food" just like the dog eats "dog food". Then she said, "No, no, it's actually like ghost food." I asked what ghost food was like and she asked for a chocolate treat...
Which I think is about as good of an answer as any on the question of god.
Does your toddler mention or show any understanding of god?
