DD turned to me this morning and said "Mommy, I am happy". I feel so rewarded when she tells me that because it is always unprompted. Makes my heart swell!!!

@mrbee: she's only said it a handful of times so it feels like a real treat when it happens. It's weird because it is always out of the blue. We were walking up the stairs this morning, she stopped, turned around and said it. I wonder what made her happy since we weren't even doing anything in particular.

@mrbee: She is a really happy kid now. We've gotten a bunch of comments about it recently from other people. I guess I'm still getting used to it because she wasn't a happy baby!

Mine recently learned the word happy, but I'm not really sure she knows what it means. I think it was just close enough to 'apple' that she picked it up.
