DS has started shoving everything he can grab into his mouth to chew on. Since he's started chewing his shirts if he doesn't have anything else, I figure its time to get him a teether. He has a teething ring, but he gets mad when it goes around his arm

my LO is fine with sophie, but i can't say that he prefers it to other things he chews on.
ETA: he seems to like the lifefactory teething rings a little better--maybe because they are easier to hold onto?

he didnt care for it until five? six months? (and he got his first teeth at 4.5 months) he's loved her since then

She plays with it some, but definitely not her favorite. I won't buy it again for future LO #2.
but, then again, some kids love it.

Loooooved her from 3-7/8 months. Now at 10.5 he's uninterested in her.

She likes it, but not as much as other kids seem to.

It is ok. She will play with it when in the car for a couple minutes. But she prefers to chew on her hands over anything else.

Xander has almost zero interest in Sophie. Darn wasted money!!

DD doesn't care for Sophie. Good thing I got it as a gift!

My LO will play with it in a rotation of toys (like, he picks up one and puts in his mouth for a few minutes, and then moves on to the next one).
I like it because I feel like it is better material than other toys, but I can't say he loves it above all others or anything...it was a gift at my baby shower, so thankfully I didn't spend the money on it!

R just started chewing on her Sophie this week at 10 weeks old. She can't really grasp it yet though.

She really loved Sophie from 3-6 mo. She still chews on her now at 9 mo, but not with the same passion! lol

Loved Sophie from about 3-8 months - now he's over her.

He liked her for awhile.... she's been hiding in the stroller for awhile so I'm not sure how he feels about her lately.

Not really. She's pretty meh about teething toys in general though. She prefers her hands or plush toys. Very annoying!

I guess I'll only get him a Sophie if I catch one on clearance at Target like I saw in the deals thread. Today he managed to bunch up his sleeper and chew on the top button and zipper til he was soaked with drool. This new shove-all-the-things-in-the-mouth phase is weird....you'd think he'd take a paci now, but nope

Mine did. He was an early teether too...it was gifted to us at one of my showers.

LO loves Sophie. It was the first toy she gravitated towards and now she still loves it even though she plays with lots of different toys.

My daughter liked Sophie for a while when she was little. Now at 17 months, she *hates* Sophie and is terrified of her. Whenever I take Sophie out and squeeze her, DD runs away as fast as she can, screaming!

started loving sophie at 3.5 months and still loves her today at 7.5 months!
