My youngest has a birthday coming up in March and I'm trying to come up with a gift idea so I can plan ahead/look for deals. She is really into her princess dolls which are the size of Barbies. She doesn't have any accessories/a house for them though. I'm not set on this idea, but looking for recommendations of a dollhouse that would fit these dolls. I don't want an actual Barbie brand one though, I want something sturdy and more neutral not so pink.

We got a KidKraft one from Costco in October(Santa brought it). She loves it!

We looked at the Kidcraft one and I have a bookcase that I'm thinking about turning into one for the girls.

They have bookcases that look like doll houses, with windows cut out on the sides and a roof on top...I personally would go with that.
Kidcraft makes one, it's the dollhouse cottage bookcase. Walmart has it for under $100.

@Bao: we have a kidkraft one, as well. My daughter is obsessed with it. She puts all of her dolls and ponies and horses and everything into it. Go big.
I can't get to the kidkraft website right now for some reason but it's the mansion with the garage.

@mediagirl: that's the one I was eyeing! It's $140 on Amazon but my parents would pay for a chunk so it wouldn't be so bad.

@Bao: we found ours used on Craigslist for $75. I was happy with that price because it was practically brand new. I didn't realize it was so cheap on Amazon!

@Bao: We got this one. We paid $115 ( I think) at Costco, but they don't have it anymore. LO loves it. It is in the living room still cause she plays with it so much.

LO got it for Christmas when she was 2. I'm waiting for her to outgrow it.
