I'm a baker, so of course a double oven sounds appealing for me. But, there are times when I'm making dinner and I need the oven set at two different temperatures. I would be all for a double oven. But, in your case, it's what your family would get the most use out of.

Your poll questions are kind of messed up.

I'm also lost at "For our kitchen remodel, we can install a new double oven or do a microwave oven with gas oven underneath. I do not want a microwave/hood combo or a microwave installed in the cabinetry."
If you don't want it in the mill work or as a range hood, the only option left is on the counter, but that's not in the poll.

I'm not sure I understand your second poll choice. I would do a microwave over the oven in the wall.

@Myicitygirl: no worries! I don't like the microwave over the stove. I don't really see the need for a double oven if you don't want it. So put them together. My parents did it and it looks great. They did do a convection microwave so you could tedchnically treat it like two ovens if you really wanted too

I'm not a huge baker but I regularly use the double over when I'm hosting a large gathering, or when I'm making two things for dinner that need difference temperatures.
