We have an UBV with a rumble seat, but we mainly use that for walking to the park and around the neighborhood. I want a double I can keep in the car. We will be going to the pool everyday this summer and I need to transport the kids easily through the parking lot (my toddler blots)
I'm looking to get either a used Baby Jogger city mini GT, City Mini or bumble ride indie. Any thoughts? Preferences? It looks like the City mini folds easily and more compact.

I'm interested in this too- I never put our UBV in the car, too huge. If it's just for very short walks like that what about something like that joovy caboose? I hear it isn't that good fo long walks but could be goods r what you say. Also how old is the baby- do they need a car seat attachment or can they sit in the regular seat?

@Foodnerd81: baby is five months, but huge, so I'm just going to have him go in the regular seat. we also travel to maine and need something a little sturdy, since the house is on a dirt road and we don't use a car there. I'm going to test drive them today at a local store, but would love some advice!

All the ones you listed are pretty hefty. We love our City Mini GT double but it takes up my whole trunk so its not great for leaving in the car all the time. And we fly a fair amount and it's way too big for that. We just added an UppaBaby G-Link to our ridiculous fleet of strollers and I LOVE it! Folds really compactly, lightweight, but still great features.

We have a double city mini GT and we love it but it definitely takes up a lot of space. I would check out the Uppa Baby G-link if you want something more compact.

@brady80: Just curious about the UBV not going in the car. Does it not fold easily if you use it as a double?
We have a Britax B Ready and it folds so easily even with the second seat and it fits in the trunk of our Corolla. It is similar style to the UBV which makes me surprised that you have a hard time with yours. I'm interested because we're expecting our third and would love the option to attach the glider board because we can't have both the second seat and board on the B Ready. -
@skipra: I have never tried to fold my vista with the second seat, but I strongly dislike folding it and putting it in the car in general. It's just so big and heavy. But so far I've been able to use other options- snap and go or umbrella stroller for one kid and wear the baby or hold the toddler's hand. There have been times when having a double would be a lot more convenient but not enough so that I want to get the vista in the car. And if it was for something like a week in Maine, I'm sure we would have so much gear in the trunk that it wouldn't fit. Actually attaching the rumble seat is very quick and easy though, whether or not you can fold it attached. We don't have the piggy back board yet.

Yeah, the bumbleride indie twin takes up a lot more room than my city select with second seat. My city select is so compact. I think it helps that I can remove the seats.
Also, I'm petite with short arms so closing the bumbleride takes a bit of effort.

I loved our city mini gt double. Was super easy to fold and unfold.
