I have this currently, however I've had it for a few months. I went to the dr Wednesday and turns out it's a cyst. I think if yours just last a few days and goes away it could just be ovulation. It could always be something else, too!

@BabyBoecksMom: I think it's a wait and see thing. In my case it's causing a lot of pain so I'm not sure, I have a follow up on Wednesday. Let us know what your doctor says, I'm curious!

I had an ovarian cyst rupture and it sounds a lot like what you're describing. Once it ruptured I felt a million times better. But before that the pain was so bad I couldn't pull my pants on to go to the ER and went with a towel around my waist.

@Bao: it got too big. It was twice the size of my ovary. There were no complications but they were worried about it twisting and causing damage to my ovary. Luckily it didn't.

Side story....it ruptured during sex and I ended up having all sorts of pelvic exams before I finally got the ultrasound. Poor ER staff had to deal with all the sex stuff that was up there. It was mortifying.

@Bao: from what I understand they usually just go away over time. I just got lucky.

I have ovulation pains every month and it sounds like what you are describing. A sharp pain followed by a dull ache, sometimes it feels painful for awhile and then slowly subsides. Sometimes I feel nauseous for a few hours. I hope everything is ok!
