Hi all. Wondering if anyone knows what this red/dry spot might be on my LO? It's been there about 2 weeks now. I thought it was exzema (he tends to get patches of dry skin like this that the doc has said is exzema).
He has no other symptoms. Totally fine. Just dry skin? Or could it be a fungal rash?

Have you tried putting anything on it? My LO has had a lot of chapping in that area this winter because it's just been so darn cold. Aquaphor at bedtime seems to help.

@SeptMomma12: I did aquaphor one or two nights when it began, but haven't stuck with it. I should try that.

@hellobeeboston: Yeah, we've had to do it every night this winter. He wakes up with some interesting aquaphor hairstyles

I agree with @SeptMomma12: that it looks like it might be winter chapping. If aquaphor doesn't clear it up, try some really thick healing creams/lotions. We have one that's almost 100% straight shea butter, which works wonders for LO's chapped winter face.

My daughter has a similar mark on her face, and I use aquaphor as well - it clears it up for a little while. I'm ready for some spring sunshine soon! It was -2 degrees here this morning with the wind chill!!!
