Poor LO was sick 2 wks ago with a fever and congestion/runny nose. Fever is gone and she's back to her usual (but snottier) self, but the past week she has been having an awful cough at night. She goes to sleep fine, but then wakes up to eat per usual (though usually 2x instead of her usual 1x -and she's 12 mo, so to be fair she doesn't *need* to wake up to eat, tell her that) and has this horrible coughing fit that takes 30-45 min to resolve. She has rarely woken up with the cough itself. She sounds gurgly, but not super congested, so I can only think it's from the drainage and somehow nursing at night just stirs it up and makes her cough.

Any idea on how to help? I end up carrying her around sitting up and bouncing/rocking until she gets sleepier and the cough dies down, but she threw up from coughing so hard last night so I'm trying to see what else I can do until this blows over. I would elevated the end of her crib but she is a massive mover and would end up with her feet in the air I'm sure! I don't know if a humidifier would help this kind of cough either. Her well child exam was yesterday so I don't think she has any underlying thing making this worse. I think it's just a crummy daycare virus. She's just so fine any other time it's weird!
