Ok, another adoption related request. We need a cute dress for O! Doesn't have to be super fancy, but something special would be nice. She usually wears Target or Carters because she is so hard on her clothes I just can't bring myself to spend more money. What are your favorite special occasion brands?

@Mrs. Turtle: this is so exciting! I’ve gottem special dresses from both those places, or Gap (With a good sale) has nice stuff. Children’s Place has some cute dresses (mixed in with some cheesy stuff). Or H&M has quite a few cute dresses but there shipping can be annoying (it’s only free shipping at $40+ which is a lot of $7-15 dresses!)

Old Navy has some really cute ones right now! We used this one in our family pictures a couple weeks ago. We also got her one with a tutu skirt that she loves.

Congratulations on your upcoming adoption! I like Gymboree dresses. They usually hold up well and are nice but not super fancy. We have an outlet store near us where I can usually find good prices. Otherwise, I look at the sale and clearance sections online. They cost too much for me to pay full retail price.

For special occasion dresses I have a lot of luck at consignment stores. They generally have some nicer brands and they are in great shape since they are hardly worn.

@krispi: I have also found some cute ones at Gymboree. They are owned by the same company as Janie and Jack (which also has great special occasion wear but much pricier).
I'd also check out Hope and Henry (https://hopeandhenry.com/). You can find it all on Amazon as well and it is like Janie and Jack but cheaper and organic fabrics and super cute.

H&M actually has some amazing girls’ dresses around the holidays, not sure whether they’re out yet this year or not but it could be worth a look!

My DD (now 10) and I always find success shopping for cute dresses at Fabkids.com, Old Navy, Gap Kids, the Children's Place, hannaandersson.com, and H&M. We have been shopping at the aforementioned ever since T was a toddler. Best of luck finding the perfect dress for her special day! -

How exciting!!! We will be doing this December or early next year! What color are you looking for? Also what style? I mean I know places like Ross and TJmaxx usually have really fluffy dresses! I like gap and old navy for cute dresses too!
