C has a theme day this month where she is supposed to dress like a Professional or Career. Any great and easy ideas? She doesn't currently have any of the Melissa and Doug play clothes. I'll get one of those if I can't come up with something else.

@MamaG: does she have any dress up toys?
My daughter has two different construction worker hats, 2 tool belts, a bag with tools. So I would dress her in jeans, shirt with the accessories. Construction worker!
Does she take any ballet/dance classes? Ballerina?
Does she have soccer/football/basketballs?
Look around your house and see what kind of toys she already has for inspiration!

Slacks or a skirt with a nice top -> teacher
Apron and a wooden spoon -> chef/cook/baker
Any sports apparel
Any doctor toys and then wear blue or green pants and shirt (or stuffed animals for a vet)

She does have the Doc McStuffins doctor kit, a variety of sport balls (not a bad idea!), and plenty of cooking items, including a too small chef hat

@LilSprinkles: Doctor/Vet was my very first thought. But then I was stumped on scrubs. She doesn't have very many solid color clothes.

@MamaG: White shirt with pants for a doctor? Or if anyone has a button down shirt that could be the white coat.

oh lord, i'd send my kid as a space cowboy before i try to pin her down and put her in a dress shirt, LOL!
I like the vet idea! What about a fire hat? The local departments give out those little plastic ones to kids. E LOVES hers.

@MamaG: Put her in jeans and a white shirt, put the doc mcstuffins stethoscope around her neck and maybe have her hold a clipboard?
Oh and get some name tags and write DR. XYZ on it!

@BandDmommy: What would you have a child wear for a vet? We don't have pets, so I guess I'm not completely sure what they wear.

Librarian?? You could put her in a cardigan sweater, play glasses (kid sunglasses with the lenses poked out?), and books. Or you could dress her as a SAHM and send her in pjs with messy hair and a huge coffee cup (or maybe I'm the only SAHM rocking this look right now? Ha!)
