I had written previously that my DS has 6 cavities at the age of 2. Two dentists had recommended IV sedation, in order to fill them.
So tomorrow is the big day. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Hopefully, this will be the first and only time. Thank you in advance.

Wow I'm so sorry to hear that! Do they know what is causing him to have so many cavities at such a young age?

@mamamoose - the dentist never told us the main reason. she said it may be hereditary, but also recommended non-carb snacks, such as nuts and cheese. my DS likes fruits and raisins, which have natural sugars, so we're avoiding those now.

Thank you to everyone. My DS had his cavities filled this morning. Everything went smoothly. It was scary seeing him put under anesthesia, but he is now awake and sitting with me on the couch. Hopefully, no more cavities in the future for him.
The dentist did say that he has weak teeth, and therefore, I need to really work at brushing his teeth after every meal. I guess he got his dad's teeth.

I'm glad that it went well! I have weak teeth, too...they're a huge pain. Hope your little one bounces back quickly.
