I've just read on the news that the Duggar family (from the TV show 19 Kids and Counting) have lost their 20th child in the second trimester.
While some may disagree with the family's philosophy on family planning, I hope we can all agree that this is a sad situation and our heartfelt condolences are deserved.

Reading some of the hateful comments about this family posted on the news story almost made me lose faith in the good in people these days, and I've come to hellobee hoping to be reassured that we can put our beliefs and differences aside and agree that the loss of any life, no matter the situation, is still something to be respected, not cheered.

They have made the decision to name their baby after finding out the gender, and hold a funeral to respect the life lost and to provide closure for their entire family.

What do you think about this? If you were in this situation, do you think a funeral for a late-term miscarried baby is healthy for a grieving family or would it make things worse?
