Can you Scotch-Guard a designer purse?
I got a new purse and I love it, but knowing me, it's going to get super dirty. Can I put something on it to help prevent it from getting dirty? Or does will that ruin it?

Saw your cute new bag on IG! I don't know about scotch-guard, but I know that Coach sells cleaner... http://mobile.coach.com/mt/www.coach.com/online/handbags/Product-coach_fabric_cleaner-10551-10051-60149-en?un_jtt_v_show_pdp=149&un_jtt_v_page_title=Coach+%3A%3A+Coach+Fabric+Cleaner&un_jtt_redirect

I did that to a fabric Coach one I had a few years back and it worked well for me and it didn't seem like it damaged the purse.
I will say, though, if you're doing something like a chair that is part wood/part fabric, watch the spray on the wood because it does do damage. Because of that you might want to watch out for the non-fabric parts of your purse.
