Does your LO have a duplicate lovey? How many?
My LO has 2 of the same - one at home and one at daycare.

We had two of the same. Then we lost one. Then we bought another, so we still have two. But the true lovey she has can't be duplicated since it's from Asia somewhere and we have searched the far corners of the Internet for it. If we ever lose that we are in trouble ...

We have two. One for the diaper bag and one at home... It is so nice to have an extra for when one is in the wash!

He's got a similar lovey (different looking rabbit vs. bunny) at daycare, but I don't think that he naps with it. I'm thinking about buying an extra blue bunny lovey just in case.

The kids' loveys are blankets my SIL knit for them so we don't have duplicates... I hope we don't lose them!

Grayson uses his gentle giraffe for sleep...we've only got one, but I'm honestly thinking of buying him a second one because we are terrified of leaving it somewhere when we take it for him at night

I'm thinking of getting loveys for my LO soon... she's starting to hold onto A&A blankets and will cry sometimes if I take them away from her... definitely seems like she likes to feel them and gets some security from them. I was thinking I would get 3... one for daycare, one for home, and one backup... I hope that's enough. Now I need to find something cheap! Does it need to be breathable for a 4 mo old? If so, maybe I'll get the A&A loveys (though they aren't cheap)! I used to nanny for twins who loved the restoration hardware blankies with the animals on them, but they aren't cheap either (and not breathable).

My daughter is really attached to her Sophie. She has four (three I bought used for $5 each). One stays in her crib, one in the car, and one at daycare. The other is in the closet as a backup.

@th_momma: when did she start liking Sophie? We have one but I haven't tried it with her yet...

We have two jellycats and two blankets just in case... Oh and two bunnies. The bunnies were both gifts and happened to be identical.

@winniebee: aww lovey twins! and isn't it great when they start loving on the lovey?? the other day both loveys were in front of LMW. She picked up the lion, rubbed it on her face, then threw it away and picked up her dalmatian instead. haha!! It was so cute. She really knows which one is hers!

We have 4. 2 at daycare and 2 at home. I'm awful at getting laundry done lately.

@winniebee: No - the blanket she's attached to was meant for decoration in her room, so I didn't even think about getting another. Now, they're not made any more. I wish I would have bought a duplicate blanket when they were still available because she is SO attached to it.

@mrs. wagon: Funny enough, we have a velour yellow blanket with a ducky head...he has a million blankets so it is in his closet. He somehow found it and dragged it out and was loving on it....it's like a lifesized lion lovey! LOL

LO doesn't really have a lovey, but my nephew had a blanket and when my SIL tried to get a duplicate of the same one he would never take the "newer" version. Little stinker.

@78h2o: I think we gave it to her around 4 months. She liked it for long car rides (of which she's had many--our closest family lives 12hrs away). She started to really look for it once we put her in daycare, though. Around six months.
