Do you have a dyson vac? Do you like it? I'm tempted to get one but they are so expensive!

Yes, & I LOVE IT! I waited for years to get it! They occasionally go on-sale & you can always find deals on them during Black Friday! I got lucky & one came into the pawn shop DH works at, almost brand new! Woop Woop!
It has also survived my mom using it a handful of times.... she is known for breaking vacuums so that's kind of a big deal! lol

Yes and we LOVE IT. My husband even loves it. He is constantly moving it around the house to "vacuum" things. LOL.
ETA: We have the model for pets and I would not trade it in. Ever. Except maybe for another one.

Yes! We love it! We also have the model for pets and it is great (our dogs don't shed but we still love the extra power). They are pricey but worth it! Thankfully we got ours from work with a hefty discount

I might be the lone voice of dissent! Our Dyson is about 6 years old now and we've been wanting to replace it for a few years now. We're finally looking into replacing it with a Miele. It has been breaking down since just after it went out of warranty and now the brush part won't turn off without an elaborate system we've rigged. Plus it makes a screeching noise that I can't stand. For the money, I wish I had done more research into the nicer vacuums instead of just buying the first nice vacuum I'd heard of!

my mom has a dyson & hates it (i've used it & didn't like it either). she bought a cheap hoover for upstairs so she didn't have to lug the dyson up & down the stairs, but now just uses the cheap one everywhere 'cause it's light & cleans just as well with easier attachments. i have a hoover platinum (not cheap, but less than a dyson!) and i love it!

I love love LOVE our dyson. We have "The Animal" one. It's awesome. Ours is fairly light (lighter than the cheapo one we used to have) and easy to use. And I love not having to mess with bags!
Abd FYI: Dyson is having a 20% off sale right now. Target and Bed Bath and Beyond are doing it around here anyway! (BBB tends to have a better return policy - if you end up not liking it)

We love it and have the same one as @emsmems. We did get a really good deal on it though so we weren't as invested!

We've had our Dyson Slim for about 6 years now and I've been ready to replace it for over a year. The brush head doesn't spin anymore (blame it on my shedding), and when we turn it on, there is this awful burning smell. I'm pretty sure it's because of my hair clogging it up, which isn't necessarily it's fault. Just saying that it's not perfect and won't last forever as we're led to believe!

I like mine. I got it refurbished on Woot.com. They have the ball ones probably about once a month. I do think they seem to break easily since why else would there be so many refurbished units? Mine has lasted about two years of heavy use though (2 dogs and a cat!)

I love my dyson. It was a housewarming present, I wouldn't have spent the money on my own for sure. It's about 4 years old and still works great!

@Meridian: We have the same model and it sounds like we have similar issues. The problem probably isn't your hair clogging it up, but have you tried taking the filter apart and cleaning it? My husband is the one who does it, but I think there's a way to clean/wash parts of it.

I love mine so much! I do have to clean my hair out of the brush quite often though. I imagine I'd have to do that with any vacuum though.

@Meridian: I loved our dyson slim for about a month - but I don't think it's with the $$$. It doesn't pick up as much as the regular dyson does.

@spaniellove: We originally wanted a Dyson, but my parents got us the Miele instead. They said that the Dyson was MUCH heavier and the Miele was a lot better for a smaller home. I have the Miele from Costco (i can't remember the model) and loooove it. Dyson has better advertising so many feel that's "the vacuum" to have. I definitely recommend the Miele!!

I got one off Amazon they were having a flash sale for it. I have yet to break it out of the box. My father and BFF has one and they both love it. My BFF's brother on the other hand hates it.
