Specific models please!

My mom and I both have DC 17s that are wonderful. My mom also has a DC 28 which is HORRIBLE. Even the vacuum repair man said the 28 model is horrible. I'm not sure if any of these are still being made now. Just to add, I have 1 long haired big dog and 2 cats. My mom has 3 huge long haired dogs.

I have the canister and a long-haired dog. I love it! it picks everything up. my only annoyance is that I have to take apart the actual sucker piece to pull all his hair out every once in awhile. it gets wound up.

We have the dc41 but it's not the animal model and I really like it. I heard canisters are awesome vacuums though.

I have a DC14 all floors. It's an older model, but I really like it. My only issue with it is that it's pretty heavy.

Animal! It works great. I only have one dog, but she sheds a ton and I end up vacuuming like, every day. I never cease to be amazed by the amount of crap that thing picks up. Love it.

Lucky you! That's a great deal! We also have the animal... We only have one dog who doesn't shed a ton but it is awesome!

Found a Dyson DC41 on sale for under $300. Wondering if I should get it. Is it worth it?

The Dyson animal ball (sorry I don't know the model #.) I have the animal regular one, and it's great, but the ball is easier to maneuver.
ALSO- FYI you have to clean the filter like every 6 months. I didn't know and waited 4 years. WHOOPS.

We have the animal (purple) one. Love it; it's truly heavy duty! BUT, I didn't realize how heavy it can get and I am exhausted vacuuming 3 floors, now DH took over vacuuming! But that's just me cause I'm weaksauce.

I do NOT like the DC39 canister. The roller brush isn't wide and gets jammed all the time. -_-
