When did your LO's services start after the initial assessment appointment with the EI program ?

Recommended to call EI: 12/30/13
Evaluated by preschool teacher & PT: 1/27/14
IFSP meeting: 2/10/14
PT services began: 2/26/14It took about 2 months from the time the pediatric orthopedist told us to call EI to when services began.

@swedishfish: Thanks! I called/emailed EI last month and they called me 3 weeks later to arrange an assessment appointment for next week. I hope they can help us!

@autumnlove: there definitely was a time limit to how long it should take for an IFSP meeting in my county. It was 45 days from date of referral. I hope they can help you too!

it was pretty fast... i can't remember the exact timeline but about 45 days. we had to do 4 evaluations plus 2 meetings with the case worker which was a lot of appointments to coordinate.

It happened fast but there was a holiday break in between so the first session took a week longer than expected. First evaluation was about 2 weeks after i called then first session about a month later.

@autumnlove: I think it took two weeks from my initial call to the evaluation. Once he qualified, services started 30 days later.
