Which easel do you have? I think this may be a Christmas gift this year. I'm leaning toward the plastic step two one with the built in shelves, but the wooden ones seem popular too. I like that you can put a whole roll in this!

We have the m&d one and it's great except I wouldn't keep it outside-- we do, and it has totally warped! Still usable for now (we've had it for 4mo this...) but it won't be for too much longer. We keep it on our balcony-- we don't have room for it in the actual apt plus paint is messy
Also the paper feeder for the roll of paper doesn't work that well...

We have the one from IKEA. We love it ... I believe it's much cheaper too.

@sorrycharlie: Do you have a learning tower? I think I'm going to get the easel attachment for my learning tower to cut down on the number of large items taking up space.

We have the step 2 one- it was a gift so I did no research or choosing at all, but it is sturdy. My monkey did try to climb onto that shelf in the middle a few times but got over it pretty quickly. It might take up more space than some of the other ones though, and I don't think you can use a roll of paper with it. It's currently folded up under her bed because we need the floor space for baby holders right now, so I'm excited to take it back out!
