My Grandma finds the cutest Easter and Christmas dresses for my daughter from Walmart and Target. She's a bargain hunter and goes after the holidays and buys for the following year for us. I'm always shocked at the cute stuff she finds. Might be worth a shot?

Otherwise we always had cute dresses for kids when I worked at JCPenney back in the day. It's been several years, but might be work a look too.

Agreed that Target usually has some nicer things. Tea Collection or Hanna Andersson also usually have nicer dresses, but are more expensive.

Just wanted to add that I got served an ad for Gymboree today that had some cute Easter-y stuff in it

I still shop Janie and Jack--But Hope and Henry sometimes have some really cute stuff and strangely, River Island. But I don't know what constitutes "practical".

Our Savers tends to have lots of special occasion dresses (moreso than consignment shops around here). As someone else mentioned, they tend to be in pretty good condition as they aren't usually worn as much.
