Wee dude is almost six weeks old but over 12lb and I'm just wondering if he looks ok in the Ergo without an infant insert? I usually wear him in a stretchy wrap (which we both love!) but it's so much easier to get him in and out of the Ergo if we're out and about with the car. I'm obviously mindful that he doesn't have great head control yet so I'm trying to be careful with how I move while he's in it.
Any thoughts?

His legs look too far apart - it needs to be knee to knee - I have heard you can use just the cushion when they are getting a bit big for the infant insert - I did this when my daughter was about 11 weeks old.

He needs to be close enough to kiss. You can froggy his legs inside the carrier if they're too small to be out - they look a bit too far apart.

I agree, a blanket under his bum might help the legs as well. My babies never did well with frog legs.

My girls were always too big to be froggied, but I used the cushion alone for a while after they were too big for the insert. To be honest I only used the insert for the first two weeks.
Definitely try with the cushion or a rolled up blanket.
