My LO loves being held and carried. My husband and I thought it would be a good idea to buy a carrier instead of pushing him in the stroller all the time and I could do more things around the house wearing him. We bought the Ergo Galaxy carrier and he screams every time we put him in it. I don't know why.
So to all you Ergo users and baby wearers did your LO always like being worn or did it take some time for them to get used to it?

I don't have a ergo but when we got our beco LO screamed the first few tries. She doesn't like being confined so I think she had to get used to it. Once she calmed down and realized she could still look around AND cuddle she was all for it. Now she loves it. Don't give up it may just take a few tries.

DD would fuss when I first put her in, but within two minutes would quiet down and konk out. By three months she was totally fine the whole time. BUT she does still fuss when my DH tries to wear her.

We had the opposite problem - LO only stopped screaming when I wore her in the Ergo! (I'm exaggerating, but only a little.)
I will say that she never tolerated being worn around the house. I pretty much had to be moving and moving fast. She didn't want to be worn while I actually got anything done, like doing the dishes or laundry. Although I did lose the pregnancy weight super fast, since I was out walking miles a day.

I posted about this recently.. the same exact thing happened to us. We kept trying every day for like a week and then she loved it!
Eta well she loved it after a couple weeks, she was ok after a week. But the first few times she just crriiiiied and cried!

LO screamed until we got outside - so I did longer increments outside and now he is a fan!

Sometimes he fusses and pushes against me at first, but I keep at it for 10-15 minutes and without a doubt, he either calms down or conks out. My daughter LOVED being in the Ergo...

how old is your LO? When she was a newborn, she prefered a sling kind (I have the baby K'tan, she LOVES to sleep in it!) Now that she's 5 months, she likes the ERGO better.

@KML636 He'll be 3 months on Mother's Day. We have a moby wrap, that he used to kind of like but it's such a pain to tie. He's also a big boy, how many lbs does the K'tan work for?

We have the Ktan, but she sometimes fusses at first but then loves it. Usually always falls asleep.

My LO has liked being wrapped from the very beginning. We had the Boba first and recently started using the Ergo. Knocks her out within 5 minutes, and she can nap for up to 3 hours (longer probably, if I'd let her) while being worn!

Both of my kids went through carrier strikes around 3/4 months. They would only tolerate being worn forward facing in the Moby of Baby Bjorn for short periods of time. Once they got a little bit bigger where they could see over the side of the Ergo, though, that was their preferred carrier. I would suggest to keep trying every few days; don't push the issue, but it's a good possibility your DS will adjust to the Ergo with time and familiarity.
