My name is Coco Bee, and I am an Etsy addict.
Okay so I have a question about etsy. I love to support small businesses, specifically WAHM moms. I also love to support local businesses. Etsy is obviously world wide. I'm torn, do I support only WAHM shops, only local or any?
When you shop Etsy, does the location or seller influence your decision?

Sometimes I remember to check local shops first sometimes I don't. But overall, I go for the better price and item than location.
ie when I was searching for a card for my husband the one I loved is all the way from the UK. No way locally offered anything similar. I'm not going to not buy the UK one because it's not local.

I'll order from any shop (even though I do love to support WAHM moms!). I make the decision based off of the product and the quality of the product. A lot of times the things that seem most well made are from the WAHM shops

@regberadaisy: Agreed. I think it's a perk if I find that the shop is local or WAHM but I will still buy the item I like even if it's not.
@Running Elley: yeah. And so many of the shops are WAHM or families anyway!

I try to stay away from shops who sell items that are obviously wholesale. I do try to support small businesses and WAHMs if I can.

I'll order from any shop. I do like to keep it in the U.S. though. I'm mostly looking for quality product.

@mrskc: I try to stick to UK or Canada.
But I ordered something from Thailand for Christmas and SO glad i did. the seller was so sweet and the quality was exquisite for the price.

@regberadaisy: tippythai - I bought two canvas bags from her as gifts and both my mom and SIL looove them!! I made little flower pins so they can accessorize them too. They were so cute. Really awesome quality and the seller was great about my custom order!

I prefer to stick to US made products, only because I feel like if something is coming from Australia, there's a greater chance something could go wrong in transit! But if it's something I want, that won't stop me.

I'm usually pretty much on a one-track mindset to find the best "item" I can for the lowest price. I do agree that I will occasionally think twice if it's an international seller, only because the shipping kind of scares me.
I just managed to buy...4 different things off of etsy today...gotta love payday and shopping at work!
