I was addicted to Etsy when I was getting married and I think I burned myself out...until I found out our gender of our baby! Now I am scrolling and looking on it for nursery ideas for hours on end again. Anyone else addicted, find any good things you want to share?

I'm also an addict. I seriously had to force myself to stop because I totally drained the account that the paypal was linked to!

I go a little crazy on Etsy because I'm so picky and type A. I'm also pretty crafty myself. So when I'm looking for something specific on Etsy, I search and search and search because I figure, if someone's making it custom for me, it has to be PERFECT.
I've made three purchases on Etsy:
One was a christmas tree ornament that was a replica of my wedding cake, made of clay. I absolutely LOVED this purchase. The girl has since stopped selling on Etsy and I have been wondering ever since if I should start making them.
Next was a breastfeeding bracelet. It had the numbers of the hours around it and beads between, with two charms you could clip on and off, so you could keep track of when you last fed and with what breast. I spent DAYS deciding which design I would choose, and I had her customize it to have the specific number of beads and specific shapes of charms I wanted. It came out great but broke, so she sent me a new one and an extra one in green for free. I did end up loving this purchase but it took a long time to get my ideal product into my hands.
The last was Wagon Jr.'s first birthday party banner, favor tags, and party hat. Again, I spent DAYS looking at different vendors and finally ended up begging a vendor who wasn't taking any more orders for the year to take my order. Then we spent DAYS customizing my order and I spent a week biting my nails, wondering if it was going to come out the way I wanted it to. It ended up coming out GREAT but again, it was such a stressful process.
I really should DIY more because the stress of hiring someone else to do it is usually not worth it for me! I'm such a freakin control freak.

I have been feeding my Etsy addiction with purchases for the nursery. So far I've bought a huge custom wall decal (haven't set that one up yet) and some adorable wall prints. My creativity level is probably in the negatives and Etsy has filled that gap for me very nicely.

I actually really like buying supplies and vintage items from etsy. I love buying really cool cotton prints and vintage things i would normally waste my whole saturday going from thrift store to thrift store for current projects. In my shopping cart i currently have vintage suitcases, eyelet lace, and crystal whiskey decanters

YUP - LOVE etsy. I discovered it right after I got engaged and NEARLY hired someone to custom make a wedding dress for me.
I have made a few etsy purchases, lots of fabric- for our wedding and for the nursery. A fathers day gift, crochet patterns, organic wool mattress topper for DS, merino wool mattress pad, and two purses as Christmas presents.
But I am on etsy nearly every single day. I look to it for inspiration because I love DIY.
