I heard on the radio this morning that thanksgiving is a HUGE movie day...I guess I was surprised...? We always stay home and start putting away fall decorations so we can start Christmas. I guess I feel kinda bad for the workers lol

I haven't on Thanksgiving. I have on Christmas at night though.

Yes! My husband (boyfriend at the time) and I came down with some kind of stomach bug on Thanksgiving one year. We lived in NYC at the time, so just decided to postpone Thanksgiving and go to a late night movie instead...some David Lynch movie!

Not thanksgiving, but DH and I always used to go to a movie on Christmas Day! Our tradition was broke. Last year when I was hugely pregnant and likely won't happen this year with LO.

It's a tradition on my side. We spend half of thanksgiving dinner debating which movie we'll see.

my family never went to movies as a group though. My dad isn't a theater kind of guy hahahaha...yeah. The only movie I recall going to as a family was Apollo 13 and that was weird. My dad got all weepy. And I'm rambling. My wine is tasty.

Ugh! I worked at a movie theater during high school and there are a lot of people who went on Thanksgiving and Christmas day!
I didn't mind working during the AM shift because it was double pay and plus I didn't miss much at home since I didn't cook. But yeah, I was so surprised to see people early on Christmas day going to see a movie. Why don't people stay at home for the holidays?!?! I know I would be in bed sleeping in if I could.

We used to always go. It was a huge group of us and we would go inbetween dinner and dessert. I really enjoyed it and helped us get hungry for pie!
