I remember when I first started posting to the boards, I put a referral link to my Zulily account or something that gave me credits if someone clicked on it. Oops. Seriously didn't know that was a no-no.

I'm still pretty new, so I'm not sure if I've committed them or not. I hope not.

Yes, super long rambling post on.the NYC school threads. Im still new and I still ramble, but that post was too much!

I worry that I have thread jacked in the past or something. Or posted TMI.... Probably all in my head... (right? right?)

I'm new here as well. As far as I know, I haven't committed any major faux pas.... but just give me time.

Like @mrs-polish and @mrs-chalk, I think I might be too new to know whether I have mortally offended anyone or committed heinous crimes against the hive yet. I'm fairly sure that I'd find out soon enough, though!

Ooooh, I did!
I suggested starting a FB group on my (previous, before my MC) due date thread so we could swap pictures etc! Then I actually asked Mr and Mrs Bee how we could go about swapping names privately! They were very helpful and gave me some great suggestions - but then Mr Bee said "are you all going to desert us and disappear off to FB now?" I felt AWFUL! It just didn't occur to me at all that this would involve us not using HB as a place to meet and discuss our pregnancies!! So, anyway, we scrapped the FB group idea!!

I thread jack all the time. I don't mean to I promise! Half the time it's my thread though lol

@Cherrybee: That didn't sound like me, so I looked it up! Here's what I said: "You guys are all moving to Facebook?" I totally should've thrown in a desert + disappear... love it!
That thread was really helpful for me actually... it was one of the first times that privacy came up on Hellobee, and I could see how important privacy is to parents. So there's a direct line from your question, to Hellobee Gold.
So if anyone has a problem with Gold, take it up with @Cherrybee, mmkay? Glad we cleared that up!

I posted a link to a post on my private blog. That's what happens when you skip reading the rules!

I always wonder if I do a HB faux pas when I post links to other baby related forums. It's only when I state a certain TTC trend and post the link to support my statement. Sometimes it's easy to look for answers than to create new threads on HB. Especially since a lot of my questions are over analyzed symptom spotting. With my infertilty, most of the symptoms end up being not BFP related.

@mrbee: haha! LOL.... i remember that thread and felt bad about the facebook group too!

Hmm...not that I can remember off the top of my head, but possibly!

Another faux pas, not newbie related, I tend to answer the thread before reading through all the responses. Sometimes I read the OP comments after I post. Oops, I'm sorry! My response is based off of the title of the thread. Thank god we have the edit feature where I can change my answer if it doesn't make sense.

@bluestriped bee: LOL - I still do that all the time! Edit is my friend

@mrbee: Lol! I'm always getting myself into trouble at work for using over emotional language! But, seriously, I felt like I'd just stabbed you in the back then twisted the knife by asking you to help me swap names!!!
I'll take full credit for the Gold idea, thank you very much!! Lol! I can't wait to get it (those threads look so juicy!!) - pay day can't come soon enough!!!

I'm sure I threadjack(ed). I try not to, and apologize when I do, but I'm sure it happened then (and now).
pineapple / 12802 posts
haha, this thread is hilarious.
I like to think I've been "foruming" for enough years that I have a general understanding of forum etiquette. However, I KNOW I thread jack, a bad habit I've gained from other forums where it's kind of hilarious to see how far off topic you can make threads go! I try insanely hard not to do that here. Obviously, it's much easier here since this website is 100% more serious than any other forum I'm a part of.
Otherwise, I don't think I have committed any faux pas!

I know that I do threadjack. Oops. Other than that, I think I'm sin-free for now.

Not that I know of. But I am pretty used to this community as it isn't much different from WB, which is where I have spent years! I can't remember doing anything over there but I am SURE I did!
pear / 1812 posts
@bluestriped bee: I have done that too! Infact, right before this thread I was about too! Good thing the OP posted something right above the reply box. At that point I just deleted my comment before submitting and moved on. Nobody the wiser. lol

I'm SUPER wordy. All the time. I even go back and delete stuff and it's still twice the response as everyone else...
