Yikes! My husband had created what he thought was a hard-to-find baby registry, and my cousin bought me something off of it. The problem is that we've decided to go with another stroller brand (the gift is a stroller accessory). Should we mention in the thank you note that we're exchanging the gift? My cousin is my age, so I think she would understand...

I don't think there is a need to mention that you're exchanging the gift at all. Chances are she wouldn't see you use it anyway and if she does you can always mention in person that you ended up deciding on a different stroller. There are a few things we may exchange, but I am sending thank you notes for what they gave us regardless.

I wouldn't mention it. Just exchange it for the one you want.
I got a baby gym from a friend at my shower. We had found one that was a lot nicer at a yard sale. I'm not going to tell her that we returned it and I bet you she will never even notice the difference if she comes over and sees LO in it.

I wouldn't. Just say thanks, and tell her how useful it will be. If she sees that you're not using it later you can explain, but I don't feel like you need to until then.
