Anyone have any ideas for books as a gift for a first communion? Preferably from Amazon. Would have to be age appropriate for a 1st or 2nd grader. Does not have to be about first communion in particular? I looked at this:
Dear Pope Francis: The Pope Answers Letters from Children Around the World https://www.amazon.com/dp/0829444335/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_9363AbN0G1NGK
But wonder if anyone has any other great options!

That book sounds cute and kind of interesting! I think I got a nicely illustrated children's bible for mine.

Kendra Tierney just released three illustrated prayer books for kids. One is about superheroes, and another about fairy tales, and then some kind of Wonderland book. They look pretty neat. Here's a link to the superhero one (you can find the others on that page).

Some other picture book options:
Be Saints by Pope Benedict (a speech he gave to schoolchildren)
The Tale of Three Trees (not specifically Catholic, but good)
A nice missal would probably be welcome.
Or a nice copy of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. (CS Lewis is pretty popular with Catholics.)
