I am exhausted, small tasks take a lot of effort. It's as bad as the first trimester. How long did it take for you to feel normal?

First of all, I'm sorry you went through this
Were you under anesthesia? That might be contributing to why you're feeling so exhausted. I think it was a good 24-48 hours before I felt like I wasn't in a haze.
It goes without saying but be kind to yourself. Get lots and lots of rest! I just laid in bed for days and watched movies and let my husband wait on me.

I didn't have a D&C, but I bled a lot with my natural miscarriages. Iron supplements really helped me a lot, because I was super anemic afterwards. Just a note of warning if you do go this way: get a stool softener, because iron can clog you up.
I'm so sorry for your loss

@Greentea: @LovelyPlum: @SweetiePie: Thank you
@SweetiePie: Yes anaesthesia. That definitely could be it.
@LovelyPlum: Some iron is probably a good idea. I will pick that and some stool softeners up. Thanks for the tip!

@AprilFool: I'm terribly sorry. How long ago was your D&C? I was tired the day of and a little sore but it mostly went away within a couple days. I was emotionally exhausted, though. Maybe call your OB just for peace of mind?
Be good to yourself.

@simplyfelicity: Thank you. It's been a week but the last few days have been worse than right after. I think I will take the iron and if that doesn't help, see the GP.

@AprilFool: Oh yeah, @LovelyPlum: has a good point. You might be depleted!
Will keep you in my thoughts

I'm so sorry. I haven't had a D&C, but I'd imagine it's terribly draining mentally and emotionally - that could be contributing to you exhaustion, too. I hope you feel better soon.

So sorry you had to go through this. For me, the first day was a total "do not count I'm human", but once the anesthesia wore off completely, I think the 2 days post operation was when I felt here and now.

I've been taking a break, so I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. I think the mental exhaustion plays a huge part in the healing. Are you sleeping? I felt completely rundown after my d&c and turned into a really restless, overthinking insomniac. My doctor actually prescribed sleeping tablets - and the sleep really helped boost me back up.
