We get this for my daughter's breathing problems and it is cheap, but we have insurance. Maybe I was just uninformed, but I have never heard of Dexamethasone being used as the go-to drug for PCOS, which I have. So I got curious, did some googling and I guess it is!

I took Dexamethasone during my IVF cycle (stopped right before transfer). I have no idea why, really, but it is standard at my RE's office for IVF. I had no side effects from it (at least not above and beyond all the other stuff happening to my body during IVF). If you're concerned, I would definitely call your RE office and ask for an explanation of why your dr thinks you need it. Good luck!
