My daughter is 3 months old, and has clear blue eyes like most caucasian babies. My hubs eyes are blue (as are both his parents) and mine are green (with 1 blue eyed parent and 1 green eyed parent). Odds are she'll end up keeping light eyes, but I'm secretly hoping they change from blue to green. So my question is, at what age did your child's eye color change? I've heard anywhere from 6-12 months, with the 12 month color almost always being their permanent color. Of course I wouldn't mind if her eyes were blue, I just thought it would be fun to see her looking at me with my eyes

I don't have any kids, but until a few years ago, my OWN eye colour was in constant flux. I started with blueish eyes, and throughout childhood they varied from shades of blue, hazel and greens. In the last few years they seem to have remained stuck on green. I'm now 32, so it took awhile!

My daughters eyes were this weird black with a blue tint when she was born. But after the first month or so they settled into brown.

I'm so curious about Wombat's eye color. They'll probably be a light brown like her Dad's.

Little G's were deep chocolate brown from day one. The Ladybug's are currently dark grey but I can tell the're changing...she's almost 4 weeks.

My eyes also changed a lot later in life. They were blue when I was younger, but got more hazel in high school.
My LO was born with brown eyes and they turned blue after the first couple of weeks, which is odd b/c usually they're born blue and turn brown. I just hope they stay.

DS's eyes are still blue just under 10 months (both of us have brown eyes). This is what our pedi told us:
You cannot be sure until after a year and they could change at any point, but if they are still blue at 6 months their chances of staying that way are greater.
That being said, another doctor (non-pedi) told me that all 6 of his childrens eyes did not change until they were almost 2, but none of them went from blue to brown. The ones that changed went from blue to green, gray, hazel, etc. I thought that was interesting and the only time I've ever heard of them changing that late.

Our daughter's eyes are still evolving at 21 months. Currently they are light brown with a dark blue rim at the edge of each iris. This is not that surprising to me, as Mr. Jacks has what I call wolf-eyes, with yellow in the middle and blue on the outside and mine are light brown with a touch of green. I suspect LJ will always have interestingly colored eyes!

My LO is 10 months old and his eyes have changed a lot, they've been grey, blue, and now they look hazel. I'm secretly hoping they end up turning green like mine, though.

I had heard that green eyes can take the longest. I am hoping so as I want LO to have green eyes like DH. They are currently blue/green.

i LOVE blue/green eyes. alas, i have brown and that's the only color my kids will have.
