My SO and I both have brown eyes. Both of our fathers have blue or blue green eyes. Our LO at almost seven months has bright blue eyes. Will they stick?

So far she has bright blue eyes, and at 8 monts they are still bright blue, with maybe a hint of green coming in. However I may be imagining that since both DH and I have green eyes and would love for her to too!

He was born with very blue eyes and, at 8 months, they are still bright blue. But I've also got very blue eyes.

DH and I both have blue eyes so I think biology says LO's eyes will stay blue?

He was born with bright blue eyes and so far they are staying (he is 14 months)! I would be so happy if they stayed blue. DH and I both have brown eyes but we have blue eyes on both sides of the family.

LO's eyes were dark brown from birth.
My newborn's eyes are a lighter brown but I expect them to get darker soon.

She's almost 6 months and they're bright blue. She was born with that murky blue color but they kept lightening. I have brown eyes and my husband has blue.

@bamblm: Basically the same color distribution here! DH and I both have dark brown eyes but our fathers have bright blue ones! DS's are still a shade of blue at 25 mo, although they are not the same bright blue as our father, my brothers and their kids.
ETA: pedi told me that you cannot be sure until 1 year, but it was safer to say they would stay the same color if they did not start to change by 6 mo. I asked at every appointment One doctor (a surgeon my mom went to but DS was with) said that all 6 of his kids eye color color changed after 2 years from blue to some color other than blue or brown.

She still has DH's bright blue eyes. Is there any chance they'll change after 8 months? I hope not.

Dark blue at birth. Turned a bit lighter within a few weeks. Now he has my mother's eyes, they are grey-blue and really change from grey to blue and even sometimes almost green depending on what he is wearing. (I'll also add that he is 1/4 Asian!)

She had super dark blue eyes at birth, and now at six months they have lightened considerably to a beautiful ice blue! (all thanks to her Scottish, Irish, English and Swiss heritage!)

i am soooo curious what color LO's eyes will turn out to be! DH has blue and I have brown, and LO has a bluish green grey with flecks of gold in the middle, i hope they stay that way but who knows! shes 6.5 months

My Los eyes were verrry dark blue at birth. They've lightened a lot and are now at 9 months really bright blue! No hint if any other color. Wondering if they'll stay or not. My husband has blue eyes and I have brown.
