Blue 100

DH and I both have blue eyes.

I assume that brown will dominate (my entire family is brown-eyed), but I keep hoping that Hubs' green eyes will win out! So far Xander still has those baby blue eyes, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them to change to green, even though I know they'll probably be grown!

Why don't these things every include hazel? That's what my mom has so I feel like these don't work quite right for me.

But, that's skewed since i put my mom as green, which is the closest to her hazel color. My brother had the same stats as me (he has brown eyes, clearly same genetic background as me, and both our spouses are all blue eyed families) and his son has big bright blue eyes.

DH and I both have brown eyes but we each have a parent that has blue. DS is 14 months old and his eyes are still bright blue. I'm hoping they stay!

@Foodnerd81: DH has hazel eyes, so when i put him as green, we had 0% of brown eyes and when i changed his to brown, it said 72% brown eyes. I don't know how to categorize hazel, because it's not quite green or brown!
of course, i take these things with a grain of salt, because everyone in my family has brown eyes, going way back through the family tree, and i somehow emerged with blue!

Eta: our eyes are very different shades of blue. Mine are dark an his are light. They are almost teal and sometimes they look green. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

@Foodnerd81: @Pirouette: I'm having the same issue of having no hazel option. DH's eyes can best be described as hazel - green on the outside, with kind of a honey color in the middle. His dad's are hazel too, but I haven't looked *that* closely at them, haha. And mine are blue, as well as my parents'. So I put in green instead of hazel and got 75% chance of green, 25% chance of blue. I can't wait to see what LO's eyes actually turn out to be.

@MaisyMay: Haha - us, too! Pretty uneventful although I think there was a slim chance LO could have had green the test said there wasn't.
And, yep, little lady has blue eyes!

@MrsCB: @Pirouette: Yeah I put hazel as green, since i know as soon as you say brown that dominant gene changes things. My mom's are almost closer to gray then brown or green though. Come on, internet-- do what I want!

I have brown with only green eyes in my family, DH has blue. and DD's eyes could not be more blue. It's been such a nice surprise!

Her eyes are brown. My eyes are hazel, DHs are brown.

We only had a 20% chance for blue according to this calculator, and our LO's eyes are blue. It doesn't account for hazel, which we have a ton of in our family, and it's not dominant like brown, so the test is off for us.

Dan, both of his parents, and his sister have brown eyes, so we were expecting brown, but Sadie got my blue eyes! At 20% I won't expect my next child to have blue eyes!

It said 50/50 blue/green. I'm not sure how accurate it is since it wouldn't accept DH's parents actual eye colors! They both have blue and his are green and it gave me an error message saying it won't accept that.

I didn't know what to do bc my hazel eyes have brown, green and blue in them!
I also tried this one http://www.babymed.com/tools/eye-color-predictor that does take Hazel into consideration... but not grandparents, but I dont remember from Bio class if that really makes a big difference or not
