The makeup thread got me thinking about how to update my look a bit. I am a very low maintenance makeup wearer (usually nothing, sometimes some eyeshadow and mascara) and I think that eyeliner might help me a bit.
Do you have any picks? Also, any tips for this novice to try out?

stila smudge sticks. I feel like they're kind of idiot proof because I"m terrible at putting eyeliner on but it does sort of smudge to just look nice. I use one of the dark brown ones.

I'm a liquid type of girl. I'd suggest something like Maybelline Line Stiletto. It's got a long felt tip, so it's easier to handle than one with a brush.

I've tried a lot and I don't like that many. I usually only buy higher end make-up except for ELF liquid eyeliner. It doesn't go anywhere as long as you don't rub your eyes.

I love Urban Decay 24-7 liners....they were so easy for this beginner to learn how to use!

I'm a MAC fan mostly because it's what is available nearby. I really like Bordeauline... It's a reddish purple

For a low maintenance look I would get a brown pencil liner. I can't recommend a good one because I find that they're all just okay. Apply a really thin line, mostly on your upper water line with it a little thicker at the outer corner,and take a small makeup brush and blend it out just a little, extending it just a bit past your lash line.. It makes a world of difference!
Also a blush and a tinted lip balm will do wonders for your face without too much work.
