My FIL sent a weird text to myself and my SIL asking us to unfriend his sister on Facebook. I've been friends with my husband's aunt for several years now, and she's never posted anything rude or unusual on my wall. I asked him why he wanted me to delete her, and he said she doesn't have our best interest at heart and he doesn't think she should have access to everything we post on FB. I thought it was strange that he didn't give a specific reason.

I see my husband's aunt about once a year at family gatherings, so I'm afraid if I unfriend her she will notice and it will make things awkward. My husband asked his dad about what's going on, and he didn't say anything other than he just noticed we (my SIL and I) were friends with her on FB, and he thinks she isn't worthy of embracing. So it sounds like it's more of a problem he has with her than anything to do with us. What would you do? Unfriend the aunt no questions asked, wait it out a bit, or something else?
