Here's what I have right now for our pictures next week. I think I'm happy with my outfit (the blue dress plus silvery wedges and silver jewelry) and LO's (the colorful dress with white sandals and *hopefully* a white hair clip if she'll keep it in). I'm not totally sold on DH's outfit but thought I would get opinions. The shirt is kind of a seafoam green color and I was thinking of his dark gray shorts with it? Opinions? (I'd say ignore the messy bed but I mean, I have a toddler so everything is eternally messy).

@BelugaBean: hmm...maybe a light yellow or light purple shirt for DH? Or even light pink? Are those dark brown khakis?

Those pants/shorts for him look brown, so so I don't think they go. I agree with @Anagram: a yellow shirt for DH would look better.

I really like it as long as the shorts end up reading gray on film. I actually think the seafoam green shirt is great and tempers the other two very color saturated outfits.

The other two outfits are very saturated, so I would not go with a yellow shirt for DH unless it is incredibly light. I think the seafoam green looks really good, actually.

Where are you having your family pictures taken? I think backdrop is important too when thinking about family outfits.
DH's outfit does scream a little more "fall" than "summer" to me. I would go with a brighter color like pale yellow or marigold, and maybe go with a short-sleeved shirt to pair with the gray shorts.

We're having them done outside at a big park/farm type area. I'm also hoping that the sunflowers nearby are blooming for some pictures.
I might try to find DH's khaki shorts in a minute and see how those look with the green.

I prefer the first combo. The grey shorts have the same cool feel to them that the blue and floral do. The khaki seems too warm, if that makes sense.

I'm going to bump this once for any other opinions since we are headed out and could look at other options for DH to wear.
