This year DH and I celebrate our 10 yr anniversary and I would love to go to an all inclusive!

I second Excellence but we went to Playa Mujeres (off Cancun) and it was great!

Sandals St. Lucia. There are 3 resorts to go between for dinners and such. We had the best time on our honeymoon two years ago.

I have never been! They honestly aren't appealing to us. DH and I like to go off and explore and eat at local places. I am in a wedding in November in Mexico, so we will be going to our first one.

@travellingbee: we went there for our honeymoon in 2009 and went back again in 2011. Definitely walk off resort down 5th ave one night! We have been back to Playa del Carmen 3 more times since then, but only non-AI (on the beach in town). If you can choose your room, go with one closer to the pier side, they're building a big Hyatt (I think?) to the north of the Royal. Pelicanos was our fave restaurant at the Royal, and the Italian one at the sister resort across the street was good too.

Couples Swept Away, Negril, Jamaica, we plan on going back next year for our 5 year.

We loved Couples Swept Away! DH and I are usually more "live like the locals" travelers, but for our honeymoon we just wanted to chill out. Couples was perfect - the food was good, the drinks were abundant, facilities were comfy (not luxurious, but comfortable for sure) and the staff was fantastic. Plus, you just can't beat the Negril beach.

@Littlebit: ditto Secrets Maroma Beach! We went there in September for our five year anniversary. The most amazing vacation ever. Everything was a pleasure for the staff to take care of for you and it was complete bliss. Cherry on top was when we were upgraded to the presidential beachfront suite for our last two days! OMG the decadence ...

For adults only, Excellence Playa Mujeres was our favorite. For family friendly, we like Moon Palace in Riviera Maya. The palace resorts are all pretty nice, and some of them are adults only.

The Couples brand resorts in Jamaica are top notch (well, for people who aren't millionaires). We stayed at Couples Negril for our honeymoon and adored it.

If you are taking the kiddos, or even just you, The Beloved Hotel in Playa Mujeres (right next to Excellence but allows kids) is amazing and top rated on tripadvisor. We honeymooned there and had a fantastic time. Beautiful, five star, gourmet restaurants, entertainment, amazing spa, best time ever!

We've been to Sandals Whitehouse (Jamaica) twice and Secrets the Vine in Cancun . We love them both for different reasons but if I had to pick one Id pick Whitehouse!
