What month is LO due?

I use Aveeno products and make my own detergent.

I would probably grab a UVB Sun Hat from Target too. Light cotton blankets (think swaddle blankets).

Something to put over those baby talons! My goodness those nails are sharp... I was too scared to clip her nails for the longest time, so I had to keep her hands covered so she wouldn't scratch all her skin off. I LOVED the onsies/sleepers with attached mittens. I hated regular mittens - socks worked much better

I also loved those old school white cloth diapers that come in packs of three or so. They're great for burp clothes, changing pads, etc

I use all basic, cheap toiletries and have no problems (Johnson & Johnson, Tide Ultra). I LOVE coconut oil for diaper rash - makes her smell like a cookie Plus, it's great as a nipple cream, and as a lotion

Also couldn't live without our 'baby holders'. We have a bouncer upstairs, a swing/bouncer and a walker downstairs.

@swurlygurl: haha the onesie mittens were always too short for LO's arms! They never worked on her.

Diapers: Pampers Swaddlers
Wipes: Pampers Sensitive
Shampoo/body wash: California Baby (we use the calming one) and Mustela foam shampoo for newborns (amazing for cradle cap or just for everyday use and lasts forever)
Lotion: California Baby (we use the super sensitive everyday one)
Diaper cream: coconut oil for maintenance, triple paste or resinol for a rash
Detergent: whatever "free and clear" brand is on sale, usually All or Method
Thermometer: vicks rectal (this one -- http://www.amazon.com/Vicks-V934-Baby-Rectal-Thermometer/dp/B0002AHVZU -- but be very careful when cleaning it, use covers or just a cloth on the tip when cleaning because if you get even the tiniest drop of water on it it will mess up the display!)
Baby tylenol, gas drops, gripe water (was amazing for when he got hiccups), saline drops, nosefrida (or we use the baby comfy nose aspirator), nail clippers.

The first few weeks? You need:

Diapers: We used Huggies Little Snugglers at first but now use Pampers Baby Dry. Liked both. The huggies were great at the beginning because they have a strip up the front that turns blue when they are wet. Idiot-proofed. lol. The Target Up and Up brand is good too, plus really cheap.
Wipes: Papers Sensitive
Shampoo/Wash/Lotion: We use J&J in the lavender "bedtime" smell. Also have used Burts Bees.
Diaper Cream: favorites are plain coconut oil or Butt Paste
Detergent: Purex Baby

You'll also want a thermometer (the ones that just slide across the forehead are the easiest), a nasal aspirator (I LOVE my Nose Frida), gas drops/gripe water, saline drops and nail clippers.

Make sure to have plenty of burp cloths on hand, stashed all over your house. For a summer baby, I definitely recommend investing in some Aden and Anais muslin swaddles. Super soft and lightweight.

We also couldnt have survived without our swing and vibrating bouncer. We had the Snuggabunny ones.
