I've been using Charlie's, but the diapers smell funky (I just don't like it funky, not body waste funky). So, I'm going to switch. Which detergent do you use?

Tiny Bubbles! when we tried Charlies it just didn't get the diapers clean enough. Allen's Naturally was okay but just wasn't a winner. RnG created repelling issues for us. I can't remember what other one we tried but it made my son red so it was definitely out.

We just use All Free and Clear, and every few washes I do a mini extra wash after the detergent wash. That one is just super hot water and no soap.

We use Tide Original powder, but I'm fixing to start making our own.

We use nature clean powder, just 1/4 the amt specified on the box. Works for us so far!

I'm in the market for a new detergent also. I ran out of tide original and have been using all free and clear in the mean time but I'm worried about buildup. Haven't decided what to use. I have BG dipes, so I will probably just try their detergent and see how that works.

I use the BG detergent and like it. I've tried RnG and Tide, but both did not work well at all.

Rockin Green - classic rock. And I have Funk Rock for when they smell...funky. Works great for me!

@mrstilly: I just did a load with a sample of BG detergent. They smelled much better! I don't know if it was because of the BG detergent or if the Bac-Out I used in the pre-wash.

I use the BG detergent and have been really happy with it. The diapers look clean and smell clean and i have no complaints. I have BG diapers too.

Rocking green hard rock as well. If I could find them locally, I would use soap nuts.

We use All Free and Clear also, but we use a military commissary exclusive which has no optical brighteners.

@zippylef: Oh, ours is from the commissary, too. I didn't realize that everyone couldn't get that one.

@pastemoo: If it's the one with the red dogtags around the bottle, it's military exclusive.

I'm using a local Nova Scotia cleaner called Down East.working great!
