I don't think I have a favorite Dr. Seuss book. I'm still getting over the wildness that is "Fox in Socks!"

@chopsuey119: Lol! That's what made me think of it.

@mediagirl: Seriously. The first page has a sign that says "Take it SLOWLY. This Book is DANGEROUS!"

One fish, two fish...
Found the text...
one fish two fish red fish blue fish
black fish blue fish old fish new fish
some are red and some are blue. some are old and some are new.
some are sad and some are glad. And some are very, very bad.
Why are they sad and glad and bad? I dont know. Go ask your dad.
Some are thin and some are fat. The fat one has a yellow hat.
From there to here, from here to there, funny things everywhere.
Here are some who like to run. They run for fun in the hot, hot sun
Oh me! Oh my!
Oh me! Oh my!
what alot of funny things go by.
Some have two feet and some have four.
Some have six feet and some have more.
Where do they come from?
I cant say.
But i bet they have come a long, long way.
We see them come.
We see them go.
Some are fast.
And some are slow.
Some are high.
And some are low
Not one of them is like another.
Don't as us why.
Go ask your mother.

Dr. Seuss week is one of my favorites at school! I love the book "Oh the places you'll go."

@bluestriped bee: I love that one.
I used to think Are you my mother by P. D. Eastman was a Dr. Seuss ghost writer name.... Then I found out it's just an author who worked alongside him. So, that is *not* my favorite DrSeuss book. By default.

Happy Birthday to You is pretty cute, but I do love The Sneetches. All the kids I've ever watched just crack up when I try to read each page faster and faster cause it's all tongue twisters.
When I was a teenager I always said I wanted to have a Dr. Seuss themed nursery once I had a kid I changed my mind but I still think it'd be cute.

Oh The Places You'll Go is my favorite but DD loves Horton Hears a Who. In fact, we just read it for bedtime (and for like the tenth time today!).

Marvin K. Mooney! A favorite of both myself and my husband- we both loved yelling "Marvin K Mooney will you please go now!"
I think my son's favorite is I'm NOT Going To Get Up Today! Since he likes to sleep in sometimes.
