Wendy's. We usually get it before we leave for my parents. I like Burger King for their Whopper Jr. combo. It's the perfect size for me while on WW.

We found a local sub joint that's right off the interstate. They make this local thing called Spiedes. They're so good, we look forward to it at each road trip! Exactly midway between our trip to visit my family. There's gas and food right there and it's less than 2 minutes off the exit and to entrance back to the highway. So we always stop there for a quick bite.
I think as our kids get older we might pack a picnic lunch in a cooler and stop at a "scenic overlook" with picnic tables so they can get out, eat and run around.

@locavore_mama: my parents always did this for road trips, I have wonderful memories!
We just drove cross-country and usually stopped at arbys if we could, or subway.

I enjoy going to a local sandwich shop if we can find one. Otherwise anything will do. When I'm hungry I'm not picky.

@locavore_mama: I can't wait to do this when LO and future sibling get older.

Chickfila if we see one, if not we usually indulge in Sonic. They have the best drinks!

@MediaNaranja: @cascademom: LOL yes I think when they're older quick in and out food stops won't cut it for them. We'll be better off building an extra 30 minute stop into the trip.

Usually Wendy's, but we'll hit up a Sonic if there's one nearby.

Chik Fil A by a landslide!!!
If none, then Wendy's.
We'll always stop at a Sheetz, too!

@locavore_mama: Exactly. We had a memorable gas stop with LO a couple of months ago where he had a bottle, then proceeded to have a blowout in his car seat. The gas station didn't have a changing table, so he was changed in the back seat with my well stocked diaper bag. As tough as it was, it was so memorable. I hope for more kids travel memories not involving blowouts.

I'm vegetarian, so Taco Bell is usually the best option for me since there are options with protein (anything with beans). But Wendy's also works for their baked potatoes, or sometimes we see a Panera depending on where we're driving. Most other places I can only eat fries so they are less than stellar options (usually fast food salads are nasty).
