There's a curious George beach game my 3 year old likes. And sequence for kids.

My son was obsessed with this at 3. So much so I had to “disappear it” for awhile

I can't believe your 3 year olds play games my almost 4 year old son still only likes his toy leaf blower, mower and trucks. He won't ever play games.

My 3.5 year old likes let’s go fishin, matching games, chutes and ladders, and hi ho cherrio. When my 5 year old was 3 he only played matching games.

@pachamama: dh and I play a lot of board games with friends. Ds1 is 5 and started to ask to play with us when he was 4. We worked on it slowly. Ds2 is playing games at 3 because of his brother.
Not 3 year old appropriate for most 3 year olds, but right now my boys are obsessed with Shadows over Camelot.

@pachamama: don't lose hope! This is a very recent development for DD! I swear a month ago she found it way more fun to throw rhe memory cards around the living room

Frankie’s Food Truck Fiasco and Shelby’s Snack Shack are great if you want the three year old to be able to play with a (not much) older sibling....my three year old can play these, as well as Hi Ho Cherry-o, pretty much without an adult with her 5 or 7 year old sibling. We like Hoot Owl Hoot, Chutes & Ladders, etc as a family but those seem to have a few too many rules to follow/ways to cheat/reasons for kids to fight (haha) for unsupervised play.

My DD got the Sneaky Snacky Squirrel game for her 3rd bday in April and loves it. We also love Hungry Hungry Hippos. She was sick a few days last week and we taught her Candyland while we were stuck at home, and she is now obsessed with games, so we're adding some to her Christmas list for ideas for grandparents, etc. We tried Chutes and Ladders and Connect 4 because we had them at home, but both of those were a little beyond her ability for now.
Others that I have researched and added to our xmas list are Hoot Owl Hoot, Zingo, Hi Ho Cherrio, Spot it! JR Animals, and Colorama. We haven't actually played these yet, but they sound great. Zingo and Colorama might be a little advanced, but I think will be good in the next year or so. Hi Ho Cherrio might be a little simple, but I'm hoping it's one that her almost 2 year old sister can play soon too.
Another thing we tried while home sick was Perler Beads (those pegboards that you put beads on, then iron them to fuse together), and she LOVED it! I didn't think she'd have the patience for it yet, but she surprised me.

@pachamama: I'm with you! My almost 3 year old can sit still for a puzzle, but does not really have the patience for a full game. Neither does my almost 5 year old, honestly! We play our board games pretty sparingly!

Great thread so I can add some of these to our Christmas lists.
My kids LOVE Don't Break The Ice (so many giggles!), and Lets Go Fishin.

We love board games!
Pop the Pig is a favorite in our house:

Count Your Chickens:

That fishing game that spins around! My little guys LOVES it.
We have Sneaky Snacky Squirrel too -- good for fine motor!
Hi-Ho CherryO is good - but we lost all of the cherries pretty fast.
Yeti in My Spaghetti was a dud in our house. They played it once and that was it.
We were just gifted Shelby the Pug:

I haven't seen it played with again for a bit though... its similar to the squirrel game in that it's good for hand-strength.
Hungry Hungry Hippos is always fun - LOUD.
