Rubies! I kinda hoped LO would be born in July (her due date was July 29th) just so that she could have the ruby birthstone.
I eventually want a ruby and diamond ring. I love rubies!

@belleoftheballe: I am September baby and my engagement ring is a sapphire also. Hubs' birthday is a week before mine and we got married in September.
I LOVE my engagement ring and hated that I couldn't wear it for the last 2 months of my pregnancy. I felt whole again when I put it back on

@BabyBruins: I'm a May baby and I picked the stone because I loved it. Plus, not a fan of green!
I'm so sad that my rings don't find right now. I just had to stop wearing them about a week ago at 7 months pregnant.

I love the color of rubies!!!
When i was pregnant with #2 i came across a beautiful pendant necklace... it was just mesmerizing. the sales associate at the jewelry store told me it was a RUBY and it was the gemstone for July. Well, I gasped because Baby #2 was due in July... I just had to have it! It was a few weeks before Mother's Day, so I just bought it for myself as a little Mother's Day treat I had a feeling the baby would be born in late June, but didn't care... She did end up being a July baby though! I'd love to give her the necklace one day.

I'm not a fan of garnets which is the birthstone for me and our son.
I looove emeralds, but they are more delicate, and I am hard on jewelry. So I wear sapphires since they are a close second for favorites and are as durable as diamonds!

Emeralds or Sapphires. I'm secretly hoping baby comes a couple days early so I have an excuse for a pretty Sapphire ring, our due date is October 6th so I only need like a week to make it happen!

Diamonds. It's also mine and LO's birthstone. Sapphires are a close second.

@lemondrop: My birthstone is garnet too! Not really a fan of the deep red either.

@belleoftheballe: I just took off my e-ring last night, too. So SAD! I want to go get a cheap thing at the mall--I feel naked with no ring, I like real gemstones.@pelikila: What's spene?
pomegranate / 3008 posts
@pastemoo: Sphene can also be called titanite. It is gorgeous and can be anywhere from a yellow to a green. It is incredibly sparkly - photos don't do it justice.
