I'm trying to pick out a gift.

what I would really like is a coffee table book that highlights the German literary masters through time.

Second best would be a compilation book of select works from a few German authors.

Third best would be a compilation book of one well known German author, preferably one that is usually not assigned reading for HS AP courses.

Can you help me? I'm awful at searching for things on the web.
