For those with the little extra mama fluff, what are your favorite jeans? Extra points if they are shorty friendly!

LOFT. They have short and long sizes! I like their Modern fit but they have three different types of fits.

hahaha how about extra points if they are tall-people friendly lol at 5'8 I've had problems finding long pants
I love MEK jeans!! they are mid-rise but look "young"

@Coco Bee: I've never tried these! I'll have to, I love designer denim
my favs are Citizens and Prvcy.

@rachiecakes: me too I used to only buy cheap jeans until I got sick of them never fitting right or lasting very long. My MEKS were the best investment I ever made! I even wore them during pregnancy with a belly band

@mediagirl: I haven't tried their jeans! I think I'll go there today. I'm in desperate need.
I have Hudson's and the combination of my wide hips, flat butt and mom tummy looks so bad.

@Coco Bee: Haha we have opposite problems! I've never bought expensive jeans because I'm so cheap. There really is that big of a difference?
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@Boogs: to me, yes. I feel SO confident in my $130 jeans. No joke. My butt and my legs look so awesome. But if I wear my gap outlet $20 jeans... wellll I don't feel that way. Cheap jeans always have that one caveat in their fit, either too long or too short or the length doesn't correspond with waist etc etc.
With designer jeans, they go by waist/inseam sizes; so I can get the waist that fits and the inseam that fits. SO much easier!
I grew up shopping at thrift stores; so I AM frugal. Which is why I only own one pair of MEKS haha but I love them so much that I plan to get another pair if I can lose more weight.

I love my true religions.
I can still squeeze into them (I have to use a belly band though)

@Boogs: The Buckle. I went in there once because a friend raved about them. The sales associate asked how I liked my jeans to fit - she was SO knowledgeable because every pair she pulled fit like a dream. But the moment I put on the MEKs I knew I had to get them.

@Coco Bee: I don't know what store that is. Maybe they don't have them in CA?

i love my joe's jeans. and i agree with @Coco Bee: i didn't get the hype of expensive jeans until i tried them. they fit SO much better! no sagging!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@Boogs: oh weird... well they have a website http://www.buckle.com.
These are the jeans I have but they're out of stock: http://www.buckle.com/mek-st-louis-easy-boot-stretch-jean/prd-56470W1STLOBE

@Boogs: you're not alone, I've never bought a pair of designer jeans either!! I always tell myself I'll buy a pair after I "lose X amount of weight"... but never do!
coconut / 8305 posts
@Coco Bee: Now I may have to go and check those out! I'm generally anti-Buckle b/c I'm WAY cheap, but I could use a decent pair of jeans.... Actually, I NEED a good pair of jeans! lol
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@runsyellowlites: haha!! I only have one pair of nice jeans and they're the only pair I wear I need to go get some news ones but I want to lose a little more weight first.

@Coco Bee: Those are super cute!
@sweetchic: I always say the same thing. But I really need a good pair so I stop looking like such a slob!

@heatherloveskenny i just got a pair of loft jeans and they totally cover up my post baby body and flatter it. I like them!
My favorite jeans ever are Rich and Skinny.

I love my Seven for All Mankind Dojos. I also love the Honey style by Joe's Jeans. I was too cheap to buy nice jeans during pregnancy and every day I hated putting on my Gap & Loft maternity jeans. The butt sagged after about 10 minutes of wearing them and the material felt scratchy. I vastly preferred wearing my Dojos with a belly band, even though they got uncomfortable as I got bigger and bigger! After delivery, I was so happy to be able to wear my Dojos again!

@Boogs: I really like American Eagle's Favorite Boyfriend jeans. I'm 5 ft tall and buy them short. They are perfect when it comes to the length! It's also great that they are inexpensive. I can't justify spending a ton on jeans when I'm not happy with my body right now. Once I lose the weight, I plan on splurging on some nicer jeans.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I didn't see this until now, what style did you get? I heard good reviews on the modern flare but the GH LOFT only had skinny and straight leg and I like bootcut/modern flare style right now at least. Ps. The ladies there were so unhelpful!

I LOVE my Old Navy Sweetheart jeans. I buy them in the long length. I hate jeans because they're either too short, too big in the waist, too tight across my butt, etc but these fit me perfect. They are also mid-rise, so they contain my "mom pooch". I have a, well... I have a lot of junk in my trunk and I have wide hips but a smaller waist (I'm pretty hourglass shaped) and these are my favorite jeans. Plus, we have an Old Navy outlet and I only pay like $20 a pair for them. I have them in skinny and bootcut.
Honestly, I'm so hard on my jeans that I can't see spending lots of money on them. I like to hike, camp, be on the ground, etc. I don't want pants I feel like I'm going to be pissed if I ruin.

@HeatherlovesKenny: I got the modern flare. And not the curvy fit, the other fit (I don't remember what it was called)
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
@mediagirl: I grabbed some loft ones after this. They look nice...for a few minutes. Then they get saggy.
papaya / 10560 posts
My sevens! I was wearing them 8 weeks pp and super flab but they fit! Fit better now that I'm. 5 mo pp!

I am a jeans snob, I love 7s, Hudson jeans, true religion, and AG.

@littlek: ditto on the snobbery...I love my true religions. I asked for a new pair for Xmas in my prepreg size and they are my motivation to do 30day shred and paleo right now! I still need to lose 10lbs!
